If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.
If you observe a baby, you will notice that it has neither any anxiety nor depression, the baby lives happily in the present moment, the mind of that baby does not have any association with the past not any with the future. The baby is care-free, limitless and holds no attachment with anything whether material or not. With time, the baby will grow into a person and will develop the “I” which is an identity of itself. The “I” lives in our mind as the ego and consistently grows as we unconsciously empower it in every single decisions that we make. The baby however has no fear, no greed, no attachment, no ego and lives fearlessly, happily and for that baby impossible is nothing until he is educated and then the limits are defined, he is taught the difference between right and wrong, he develops emotions like fear, greed, attachment.. That grown up person who we call as “educated” walks around with his identity or the ego and takes every single decision keeping that ego into consideration. He or she is constantly faced with situations where the ego will control. Now, this does not mean that we should not learn or educate ourselves because to live in the world of today we absolutely need to be cultivated and knowledgeable about the rules on which the world of today functions.
There are a lot of differences between a person and a successful person. For me, successful person is not just somebody who has made the millions in the right time, but somebody who has mastered relationships, achieved optimum health, made enough money to sustain his needs and the legitimate wants and is spiritually conscious.
However, in the mentally engineered world that we live, we tend to think that money is the ultimate goal, achieving money can bring everything. Some even say that, those who think that money does not buy happiness simply didn’t know where to go shopping.
Making money is a by product of doing things that you really enjoy doing. it is never a goal in itself, it is like sex and orgasm. You have to enjoy the process and not focus on the end goal. People who actually focus on the end goal like having an orgasm never get one.
Therefore, are you truly rich, or you just have some money?
“Everyone has the ability to build mental strength, but most people don’t know how.
We spend a lot of time talking about physical strength and physical health, but much less time on mental strength and mental health.
We can choose to perform exercises that will help us learn to regulate our thoughts, manage our emotions, and behave productively despite our circumstances – the 3 basic factors of mental strength. No matter what your goals are, building mental strength is the key to reaching your greatest potential.”
